THIS IS A LARGE SLICE OF HEAVEN This is perfection. The hotel is beautiful and is kept immaculate by the lovely housekeeper staff. Our room 202 is beautiful, large with a most comfortable Emperor size bed. The bathroom is large and beautifully appointed. There is a lovely private patio outside with very comfortable chairs and a settee. There is a private swimming pool shared by just 4 rooms. The housekeeping led by the wonderful Gwen and her deputy Marietta is absolutely superb. Been and her staff see to our every need. Any and every laundry requirement or stain removal is no problem to this expert team (led by Gwen). Every single member of staff is always smiling and greets us by name. We like a particular table outside for breakfast and linen napkins and every day that table is reserved for us with our linen napkins. I just want to mention the lovely Mona, Bongi, and Romeo but all of the waiting staff are so lovely and attentive. They are lovely people and superbly trained. Chef will make anything we ask for. The dining facilities are fantastic with a choice of restaurants and fine dining. The staff are led by two great leaders Tiaan and Nathan who make sure everything runs smoothly so that we have a memorable and luxurious rest. We enjoy every moment of our 10 day stay every year. Of course I must mention the wine. The Lanzerac Estate makes the most superb wines. Their lunch restaurant and tasting rooms are quite superb. I cannot praise enough this lovely hotel and its staff. Thank you for another fantastic visit. We have booked already for 2026!

World class hotel We got married there and went back to celebrate our 20 year anniversary. Well, what an exceptional experience. They upgraded our room to the most beautiful suite. Staff were brilliant, service superb and the hotel is just a wonderful place to spend some down time. We will be back in the winter.

Experience Menu We enjoyed the 7 course experience menu for our wedding anniversary. It was varied and enjoyable. We tasted wines that we would not have normally chosen and enjoyed the overall expedience.

Home away from home The Lanzerac continues to provide our family with a home away from home and a wonderful base in the Cape. The staff are warm and welcoming and the facilities are excellent. The Taphuis has the best burgers in Stellenbosch!

Average food/ fantastic location. A little underwhelmed by the restaurant. Fantastic location/ visuals good. Food a little disappointing- my partner had the vegan option which was aubergine based and poorly cooked. Hoping for the “wow” factor… but it never came.

Exceptional Hotel in a Beautiful Setting. Luxury stay in a historic estate hotel. Our room was excellent with a large balcony and hot tub. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We tried the wine tasting which was very good and enjoyed the informative and fascinating cellar tour. Restaurant was good and we would definitely return.

Amazing I had the tasting with 5 wines and ordered a cheese platter , Siya was a great waitress and explained everything to me - it was excellent and since the cheese platter was very much I was allowed to take the rest home thank you Siya see u soon

Beautiful tasting menu Absolutely first class tasting menu with wine. Lovely ambience, attentive staff and beautiful food. We enjoyed a drink on the terrace before moving into the stunning dining room. Every course and pairing wine was expertly explained. Very special place. Loved it.
